1. Service and operator

ResearchFig provides the scientific-figure web service described here. Contact us at support@researchfig.com. The payment seller for a Waffo merchant-of-record transaction is identified in the applicable checkout and receipt.

ResearchFig offers local browser-based figure checks and charting, scientific figure briefs, and—when enabled—AI generation, editing, project storage and file exports. Certain AI and payment features are currently in restricted development and may be unavailable. Features and supported models may change.

2. Accounts and acceptable use

You must provide accurate information, maintain the security of your login and use the service only in compliance with applicable law. Do not misuse accounts, bypass credit limits, automate bulk trial claims, attack our systems or submit content you have no right to process. We may suspend abusive activity or restrict service when needed for security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.

Using Google sign-in is subject to our Privacy Policy and Google's own authentication practices. You may close your ResearchFig account using the account controls. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel an external payment provider's billing contract; separately cancel active subscriptions as explained below.

3. Your research inputs and generated results

You retain rights you have in prompts, uploaded files, underlying research data and other materials you supply. You authorize ResearchFig and the providers necessary to perform the task to process those materials for generation, editing, storage and delivery that you request. You warrant that you have permission to submit any personal data, copyrighted reference image or other protected materials.

Generated output is a draft and may be scientifically inaccurate, contain third-party material or lack exclusive copyright protection. You are responsible for verifying labels, data, figures, citations, permissions, AI disclosures and journal rules before publication. Neither ResearchFig nor any test provenance record guarantees copyright ownership, publication rights or journal acceptance. Commercial-use permissions remain subject to applicable law, provider terms and any third-party rights.

4. Plans, credits and payment

All charges, where production payment is available, are presented in USD unless the checkout specifies another currency. The Pricing page identifies each plan's billing period, included credit amounts and first-year promotional pricing. Applicable taxes and payment-method fees, where any, are presented before the final purchase decision.

Subscriptions: Lite, Pro and Plus are configured as monthly or yearly recurring plans. Monthly prices are $9.90, $19.00 and $39.00 respectively. For yearly plans, a first-term promotional price of $79.20, $115.20 or $192.00 is configured, with automatic annual renewals at $99.00, $144.00 or $240.00 respectively, unless canceled. Each subscription month grants its plan's credits (1,200 / 3,000 / 7,000). Unused subscription credits expire at the end of their monthly entitlement period and do not roll over, including within yearly plans.

One-time purchases: planned packs are 1,000 credits for $9.90, 3,000 for $24.90 and 7,000 for $49.90. These do not automatically renew, and purchased credits do not have a scheduled expiration while the service and account remain available. Credits are internal units, not stored cash, and have no cash redemption value.

Each successful generation or AI edit preview can consume the displayed number of credits. The quote shown before submission applies to the chosen model, resolution and inputs. Confirmed failed generations release reserved credits. Accepting, undoing or discarding a successfully generated edit preview does not undo its cost. Manual annotation, saving versions and exporting available files do not create additional image-generation charges. See Credit Rules.

5. Checkout, renewal, cancellation and refunds

ResearchFig is responsible for the product and technical assistance. For eligible purchases sold through Waffo as merchant of record, Waffo identifies the seller at checkout, processes payment, tax and receipts, and administers payment-related refunds under its applicable buyer terms. Those terms apply in addition to these product terms. Current Waffo TEST checkout does not enable production purchasing.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled. You can request cancellation of future renewals through the ResearchFig account subscription controls when available, or the payment provider's Buyer Portal. Waffo's buyer terms instruct buyers to contact its portal at least 48 hours before the next period ends. Canceling renewal normally leaves access available through the already-paid period; it does not automatically refund an unused period. 6. Availability and limitations

We strive to provide the functions described on the website but do not promise uninterrupted availability, guaranteed AI output quality, a particular model's continued availability or acceptance by any publisher. We may make reasonable changes to functionality, plans or access controls. Any statutory protections that cannot legally be excluded remain in effect.

ResearchFig is not a medical, legal or scientific verification service. Do not rely on AI-generated illustrations as a substitute for expert review, measured experimental data or clinical judgment.

7. Privacy, changes and support

Our Privacy Policy explains account information, research content and Google sign-in data handling. We may update these terms with notice appropriate to the nature of the changes. Important changes to paid rights will not be used to retroactively remove legally protected entitlements.
